Terms of service
Please read these terms before using Evez. By accessing the Site you agree to be bound by them.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at evez.online and every page and feature on it (together, the “Site”), operated by Evez (“Evez,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our privacy policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
2. Definitions
- “Content” means all guides, text, tables, figures, diagrams, headings, metadata and other material published on the Site.
- “You” or “reader” means any person who accesses the Site.
- “Third-party services” means services operated by others, including advertising, analytics, and any site we link to.
- “Snapchat” means the application and services operated by Snap Inc., which is not us. See section 4.
3. Eligibility
The Site is written for a general adult audience. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Site you confirm you are able to form a binding contract and are not barred from doing so under applicable law.
4. We are independent of Snap Inc.
The most important clause on this page
Evez is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Snap Inc. or Snapchat. We are not Snapchat support, we cannot access, recover, restore, unlock or delete your Snapchat account, and we cannot act on Snap’s behalf.
“Snapchat,” “Snap,” the Ghost logo and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Snap Inc. We use those names only to identify and describe the product our guides are about, which is nominative fair use. No sponsorship or association is claimed or implied.
If you need to reach Snapchat itself, go through the official routes at help.snapchat.com. Our guide on contacting Snapchat support explains which of those routes actually get a response.
5. Intellectual property
Our Content. The guides on this Site are original editorial work. The text, structure, tables, figures, site design, and the Evez name and branding are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property law.
What you may do. You may read, print, and share links to our guides freely, and quote short extracts for review, commentary, teaching, or news reporting, with clear attribution and a link back to the page you took them from.
What you may not do. Without our written permission you may not republish a guide in whole or in substantial part, present our work as your own, use our Content to train a commercial machine-learning model, or reproduce our Content in a way that competes with the Site.
Third-party marks. Trademarks, screenshots, and interface descriptions belonging to Snap Inc. or any other company remain the property of their owners and are referenced descriptively.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in breach of any applicable law;
- use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to bulk-copy the Site, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- interfere with the Site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or its servers;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notice on our Content;
- use the Site to distribute malware or to conduct fraudulent or deceptive activity; or
- misrepresent our guidance as official Snapchat communication, or as advice from Snap Inc.
7. The nature of our Content
Our guides describe how a third-party application behaves. That creates three limits worth stating plainly:
- Snapchat changes without notice. Menu paths, settings names, and behaviour move between app versions and are frequently rolled out to some accounts before others. A guide that was accurate when checked can be wrong for your build.
- Every guide carries the date it was last checked. Where the evidence is thin or contested, we say so in the guide rather than guessing confidently.
- The app is authoritative, not us. If a guide and the app disagree, the app is right. Please tell us at contact@evez.online and we will correct it.
Nothing on the Site is legal, security, financial, medical, or professional advice of any kind. See the disclaimer for the full statement.
8. Third-party links
The Site links extensively to third-party sources, including Snapchat’s own support documentation, regulator publications, and court and company filings. We link to primary sources on purpose so you can check us. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of any linked site is governed by that site’s own terms.
9. Advertising
The Site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
You may opt out of personalised advertising at myadcenter.google.com, or opt out of many third-party vendors at optout.aboutads.info. Where the law requires it we obtain consent before advertising and other non-essential cookies are set, using a Google-certified consent management platform for readers in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland.
Advertising is kept visually distinct from editorial content. We do not choose the individual ads shown, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for the products, services, or claims they contain. Advertisers have no influence over what our guides say.
10. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies for functionality, analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity), and advertising. What each one does, how long it lasts, and how to refuse it are set out in the cookie policy and the privacy policy. Readers covered by California and other US state privacy laws have additional rights, including opting out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, described in the privacy policy.
11. Disclaimer and no warranty
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any guide is accurate, complete, or current for your version of Snapchat, your device, or your country. Nothing on the Site is legal advice.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVEZ AND ITS OPERATORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, ACCOUNTS, CONTENT, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
This expressly includes loss of Snapchat data, Memories, streaks, or account access following any step described on this Site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred pounds sterling (£100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Evez and its operators from any claim, damage, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any law or third-party right.
14. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to properly made notices of alleged infringement, including notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The full procedure, the elements a valid notice must contain, and the counter-notice route are set out on our DMCA and copyright page. Notices go to contact@evez.online.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the Site are governed by the law of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence, or of any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
16. International readers
The Site is operated from England and Wales and written mainly for readers in the United States and United Kingdom. We make no representation that the Content is appropriate or correct for other locations. Snapchat’s features, and the privacy law that applies to them, differ by country. If you access the Site from elsewhere you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local law.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do we will revise the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be identified. Continuing to use the Site after a change is posted means you accept the revised Terms.
18. Termination
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time, including for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, survive termination.
19. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Evez regarding the Site.
