Before you write: two things we cannot do

We are not Snapchat support

Evez is an independent publisher with no connection to Snap Inc. We cannot access your account, reset a password, recover deleted Memories, unlock a locked account, or restore a streak, and nobody here can escalate anything to Snap. Emailing us about a locked account will only cost you time. The routes that do work are in our guide on contacting Snapchat support.

The second is simpler: we do not give individual advice about a personal situation. If you are dealing with harassment, an image shared without consent, a threat, or anything involving the police, please contact the appropriate authority rather than us. Our guides explain how features behave; they are not a substitute for help.

What to include

Any message is welcome, but the ones below get resolved fastest because they arrive with what we need.

What to send, by reason for writing
ReasonWhen it appliesWhat to include
A correctionA guide says something wrong, or Snapchat has changed since we checkedThe guide URL and the exact claim that is wrong. Your operating system and Snapchat version if you have them, since behaviour often differs by build. This is the most useful message you can send us.
A topic requestThere is a Snapchat question we have not coveredThe question, phrased the way you would search for it. We prioritise questions the existing results answer badly.
A source suggestionYou know a primary source that would improve a guideThe guide URL and a link to the source. We weight official documentation most heavily.
A broken linkSomething on the site does not workThe page you were on and the link or feature that failed.
A privacy requestYou want to exercise a data right under GDPR, the CCPA, or another state lawPut “Privacy request” in the subject line. Say which right you are exercising. See the privacy policy for what we actually hold, which is very little.
A copyright or DMCA noticeYou believe content here infringes your rightsPut “DMCA Notice” in the subject line and follow the format on the DMCA page. Incomplete notices cannot be actioned. You are also welcome to just describe the problem first.
Press, or anything elseMedia enquiries, permissions, or a question that fits nowhere aboveWhatever context you have.

Corrections get priority

Snapchat changes constantly and our guides go stale. A correction is genuinely the most valuable message we receive, and we would rather hear that we are wrong than not.

If the app disagrees with something we have written, the app is right. Tell us what you are seeing and we will check it, fix it, and update the guide’s last-checked date so other readers can see it moved.
